Holy crap some sites have easy bonuses and 4-betting light

Going to start off with my light 4-bet today. I had been at a table for maybe 20 minutes and the majority of the people at my table were TAGish and the three players to my left were also at one of my other tables, so they were multitabling. The guy directly to my right as a good player who knew what he was doing, which obviously didn't bode well for me since he had position on me, so I tightened up quite a bit. Normally when I have a thinking player to my left though, I'll be very aggressive on the button, since they normally are smart enough to know the value of position. This wasn't completely the case, but I had been raising my button decent amount, but I certainly wasn't getting out of hand with it. A lot of 2+2ers would probably tell me I was being too tight.

Anyway, I end up with A6hh on the button and I raised it to 4x, and he raises in the SB for a just over 12x. The BB folds and I know this is a guy who is smart, he knows I could very well be stealing and that he'd been letting me get away with some steals for awhile, so his raising range would at least seem tight, so I decided to 4bet him. At this point my range is so polarized (AK, QQ+ or air), with it very much leaning towards the stronger hands. People don't 4bet bluff at NL20, pretty much ever, and I knew he'd fold anything less than AK. With the table dynamics what they were too, while he was representing a big hand, I felt his range was actually really wide and he was just on a re-steal. I could have been wrong, but I repped a big enough hand that he folded.

I've never actually 4bet bluffed before, but I really think I need to add it to my game, specially against TAGfish type players who are 3betting tight, but who can fold out the bottom without much trouble. It's definitely not a move I'd try against anyone, because a lot of players 3bet range is AQ+, JJ+ and they won't fold it pre-flop, but there are definitely a lot of players out there who I want to incorporate this into my game to use against.

I got my money onto GNUF last night. Well, I got $100 onto there. Since part of my bonus was through an affiliate I got $110 cleared yesterday afternoon and I logged about an hour of play last night, and then about an hour and a half this morning. I'm already a quarter of the way through my affiliate bonus, which is sick. GNUF is the opposite of Pacific poker. The site is clean, it runs well (even though I have had it freeze on me twice, but it's always when im looking for an avatar to upload while playing the tables, so I stopped doing that) and it doesn't cause my life tilt. Points are easy to come by, which is crazy too.

And I know some sites it's easier to get points than others, but then you need a shit load more right? Not in this case. I'll give you two examples. My affiliate bonus at Pacific required 250 points, and Pacific's deposit bonus required 1000 points for every $100. At GNUF I need 400 points to clear my affiliate bonus and 2000 points for every $100 on the deposit bonus. I left Pacific when I got to 250 on the nose (but got an extra $100 out of them because of the way their deposit bonus is set up, which was kinda cool), and that took me hours of play. In 2-3 hours at GNUF, playing 4 tables of NL10 and two of NL20 at a time, I have 100 points. If I was playing NL20 exclusively (not enough money yet, since I'm still waiting for my Pacific cashout), I'm sure I'd be between 150 and 200 already. It's so easy getting points I think I'm just going to get the 2200 I need to clear my entire bonus (and because I like the play), but I might change my mind on that one, we'll have to wait and see. If I can get 400 points a day (which I think I'll probably do today) I don't see why I shouldn't just play here for a week and clear the entire bonus. Then it'll be off to Ladsbroke I guess.

Fuck I'm still blown away by how much more fun poker can be at a nice site. I don't feel like I'm grinding anymore (even though my two NL20 tables today had at least 3 people multitabling on each, but I was expecting as much considering I started at 7:30am). The one thing it has confirmed to me though, is that if/when I start playing at least on a semi-full time basis, I need to play at a big site. GNUF is on the microgaming network, which is of a decent size. At 8am they had 6000 people logged on, but it can be a bit tough finding a seat right away. As it stands as I write this there are two NL20 tables open, and about 10 NL50 tables. PokerStars has at least 20 open tables of NL25 and about the same in NL50. Game selection is just so much better at a bigger site, but for now I'm not concerned about that.
