Snow came today. A lot of it actually. From what I hear it's actually hit a lot of the country and even a good portion of the states too. It's because of the snow I didn't go to school today, even though it was my last official day of class. I wasn't about to sit in traffic and walk through all that crap.
Even though today was the last day though, I got a lot of work to do. I have a big assignment due tomorrow night, another due Thursday morning and then one each consecutive week for two weeks, with each being larger than the last. What fun.
I don't mind school. Actually I think I've enjoyed my university life quite a bit. The thing is, university life doesn't often actually involve going to class. I don't even mind class really, I like learning new things and expanding on what I already know. The big problem is doing work. I'm the self-proclaimed king of procrastination and because of it I often end up writing shit like this, rather than actually doing my work, as I should be doing right now. I'll probably find random things to do for a few more hours, then finally start working on my projects at about 2am. I'll probably play some poker on-line after this (much to my girlfriends dismay) and then eat some supper than then probably watch a movie. I just bought the Back to the Future trilogy on DVD the other day (all three for $22, how awesome is that) so I'll probably end up watching them all before I get my assignment done. I'll try to limit it to just one of the movies though, but I have a feeling I'll watch the first, then really want to watch the second because it's my favorite and then watch the third because I haven't seen it in a really long time. Sigh.
On a plus note the place I sky at, Owl's Head, is set to open this upcoming weekend and with all the snow we're getting today (by 10 this morning I heard rumors my cottage already had over a foot) it should be a good start to the season. Last year the ski season never really got underway until late February, when we actually had one of the best ends to the year I ever remember. This year I'm hoping things never slow down from this. I honestly don't remember having over a foot at the beginning of December before. It probably happened when I was a kid, but it hasn't happened any time recently.
